Terms of Service

Edition is operated by Fluxus Ltd (“Edition”, “we”, “us”). These Terms of Service apply to our website and mobile app. They explain the agreement between you and Fluxus Ltd when you create, manage or publish content with Edition.

When the mobile app asks you to agree, tapping “Agree and continue” records your acceptance of this version and the time on your signed-in account. Optional privacy permissions are separate from acceptance of these terms.

1. Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep access to it secure and keep your details accurate.

You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you must not use edition if the law where you are bars you from doing so.

2. Your content stays yours

You keep ownership of everything you add to edition: your text, images, code, designs, and the sites you build. We do not claim them.

To run the service, you give us the permission we need to store, process, back up, and serve that content: for example, to host your pages, deliver them to visitors, render previews, and show your work back to you in the editor. This permission lasts only as long as you keep the content on edition, and exists only so the service can function.

You are responsible for having the rights to everything you use, including any text, images, fonts, or code you upload or paste in. Do not put anything on edition that you are not allowed to use.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use edition to publish or do anything illegal, deceptive, or harmful, and do not try to break, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the service or use it to attack anyone else. This covers the usual: malware, phishing, spam, content that infringes someone else’s rights, and content that invades privacy.

If content or a site breaks these rules, we may remove it, take the site offline, or suspend the account behind it.

Beyond what the law requires, some things are simply not a fit for edition. These are the clearest examples, not a complete list, and we read them broadly. edition is not the place to build, publish, or promote:

4. Plans and payment

Edition offers free features and paid credits, subscriptions and domain registration where available. The relevant purchase screen shows the price, currency and any recurring billing before you pay. Apple processes in-app purchases; Stripe processes supported web and domain payments.

Creating content with Edition’s model services uses credits. The final credit charge is calculated after a successful request, from the provider’s actual usage cost and Edition’s markup. A displayed credit balance is the amount available to spend, not a fixed price for a request. Failed requests are not deducted from your Edition credit balance.

Monthly subscription credits are a recurring allowance which resets each billing cycle and does not roll over. They are used before purchased top-up credits. Top-up credits are separate from the monthly allowance and do not expire. Subscriptions renew until cancelled; you can manage an Apple subscription through the app or your Apple subscription settings. Cancelling prevents future renewals and leaves the current paid period available.

Refunds for Apple purchases are handled through Apple. Contact help@edition.pm about other billing issues. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected. Domain registration and renewal are separate purchases, subject to availability, the displayed term and applicable registrar and registry rules.

5. Availability

We work to keep edition running and your sites up, and provide it “as is” and “as available”, with no guaranteed uptime. We may change, pause, or stop features, and we will try to give notice when a change matters to you.

6. Suspending or closing an account

You can close your account from Account settings. Closing it takes your sites offline and removes access for everyone on that account. Contact help@edition.pm to request erasure or ask about retained records; some security, accounting and legal records may need to be retained. Cancelling an Edition account does not itself cancel an Apple subscription; cancel that subscription through Apple.

We may suspend or remove an account or a site that breaks these terms, puts the service or other people at risk, or is required to be removed by law.

We may also decline service, or suspend or remove any account or site, at our discretion. We will give notice where we reasonably can. We will not do this on the basis of any characteristic protected by law.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits anything that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Beyond that, and to the fullest extent the law allows: edition is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no warranties; we are not liable to you for any loss arising from your use of edition, including indirect or knock-on losses, lost profits or revenue, and lost or corrupted data; and in any event our total liability to you will not exceed £100. Keep your own backups of anything important.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The updated version and date will be available here. Where renewed acceptance is needed, the mobile app asks you to review and agree before continuing. We will give reasonable notice of material changes.

9. Creating with model services

If you choose to use Edition’s generation helpers, external AI model services process your request and relevant site content to produce a draft or proposed change. The mobile app asks for separate permission before the first request. You can decline and continue editing and publishing your own content.

Generated material can be inaccurate or unsuitable. Review it before publishing, including facts, links and rights to any included content. You remain responsible for what you publish.

Privacy Policy

Fluxus Ltd is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Contact help@edition.pm about privacy, your choices or your rights. This policy covers Edition’s app and service. Authors are responsible for their own notices and lawful handling of personal information on the sites they publish.

1. Account and publishing information

We process the identifiers and profile details supplied when you sign in with Apple or Google, your account memberships, content and media, purchase records, domain registration details, and messages you send support. We use this information to operate your account, host content, provide requested features, handle payments and respond to you.

Published content is accessible to visitors and may be copied or indexed by others. Keep personal information private unless you intend to publish it and have the necessary rights.

2. Hosting, authentication and payments

Amazon Web Services hosts Edition’s infrastructure, storage and Cognito authentication. Cloudflare provides delivery and security services. Apple and Google process sign-in information when you choose their sign-in option. Apple processes in-app purchases; Stripe processes supported web and domain payments. Domain registration details are passed to the registration providers and relevant registries as necessary to register and administer the domain.

We process essential account, billing and hosting information to provide the service you request and perform our agreement with you. We keep necessary security and operational records to protect the service and investigate faults and abuse, and retain records where required by law. Optional mobile analytics and model-service sharing have the separate choices described below. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Generation and automated quality checks

When you ask Edition to create or change content, we send your request and relevant page text, collection records, site settings and media links to OpenRouter, Inc., which routes the request to model-hosting providers. The relevant context depends on the task; making a site or editing a collection can involve more than the text you typed. This can include personal information about you or others if it appears in that content.

Providers process this material to return a result. We also sample requests and generated results for automated quality checks through OpenRouter and its providers; these checks can include the complete generated document. Provider selection can change with availability and routing. The model creator and the company hosting a particular request may differ.

OpenRouter’s privacy policy and provider data-policy information are available at https://openrouter.ai/privacy and https://openrouter.ai/docs/guides/privacy/data-collection. Downstream providers have different retention and data-use policies. We do not promise that every provider offers zero retention or excludes all training use. Do not include sensitive information that you do not want processed by these services.

The mobile app asks for explicit permission before sending your first generation request. You can withdraw it in Account → Privacy choices to stop new requests. Editing and publishing your own content remain available. Requests already submitted may finish, and withdrawing permission does not undo prior processing.

4. Optional mobile usage and crash reporting

“Share app usage” is off until you choose it. When enabled, the app sends selected actions, such as opening, editing, publishing and purchasing, along with account, site and request identifiers, to PostHog’s EU service. It does not send the contents of your words, photos or generation requests as analytics events.

“Send crash reports” is a separate, optional choice. When enabled, the app uses the Sentry reporting SDK to send technical errors, stack traces, app version and device information to Edition’s own AWS endpoint. These reports are stored in Edition’s infrastructure, rather than Sentry’s hosted service. Reports can include information present in an error message.

You can change either choice in Account → Privacy choices. Declining does not prevent ordinary use. We record the choice, notice version and time on your signed-in account. Choices belong to that sign-in, rather than automatically granting permission for every member of a shared account.

5. Cookies, device storage and the web app

The mobile app stores sign-in credentials securely and keeps local drafts and request state so you can resume your work. Essential service logs may include network addresses and request metadata. These support authentication, delivery, security and troubleshooting.

The web editor uses cookies and similar storage for sign-in and PostHog analytics. Mobile privacy switches govern the mobile app; they do not change browser settings or consent for other services. This standalone policy page does not load analytics or third-party scripts.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain account information and stored content while needed to provide Edition, and keep necessary billing, security and legal records for their applicable purposes. You can request access or deletion at help@edition.pm.

Generation request and diagnostic records, which may include prompts and outputs, and mobile crash records are configured for expiry after 90 days. Expiry is asynchronous, so deletion may follow later. Published content and account or payment records are separate from these diagnostic records. Providers receiving a request apply their own retention policies.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export personal information, object to processing, restrict it, or withdraw consent. Contact help@edition.pm to exercise these rights or ask about retention. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing already performed.

You can complain to the data protection authority in your country, including the UK Information Commissioner’s Office where applicable. Optional mobile permissions can be changed directly in Account → Privacy choices. Marketing consent is separate.

8. International processing

Our infrastructure and service providers can process information outside your country, including in the United States. OpenRouter may route requests to providers in other countries. Applicable providers and agreements determine the protections for those transfers. Contact help@edition.pm for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.

9. Children and policy changes

Edition is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, please contact help@edition.pm.

We publish changes to this policy with a new date. The mobile app asks again when a changed permission notice requires a new choice.
