Domain Registration Agreement
The domain is registered using your identity. Edition manages registration, connection and registrar correspondence for you.
Edition may use a dedicated forwarding email address as the actual contact email held by the registrar. Important notices reach the email you supply; you complete verification yourself.
You can recover missing verification mail, correct its delivery address and request a transfer to another provider. Closing an Edition account does not transfer ownership of your domain to Edition.
Your domain and our authority
This Domain Registration Agreement is between you and Fluxus Ltd, trading as Edition. It supplements Edition’s Terms of Service for a domain purchase. You must be the intended domain holder or authorised to act for them. Edition is a reseller, not an ICANN-accredited registrar.
You authorise Edition to submit your registration, administer its contact information and set up DNS and hosting for the service you request. Your supplied identity is used for the registrant contact. Edition does not acquire your rights to the domain by receiving registrar correspondence.
You agree to the AWS Domain Name Registration Agreement and the applicable registrar and registry terms linked below, and authorise Edition to accept them on your behalf for your purchase. AWS uses Amazon Registrar or another sponsoring registrar depending on the extension. You can identify yours through ICANN Lookup or ask help@edition.pm. Mandatory registrar and registry rules govern registration, disputes, changes and transfers.
What happens to registrar email
When you authorise mail forwarding, Edition creates a dedicated address at registrar.edition.pm and supplies that address as the actual registrant, administrative and technical contact email. It forwards required notices to the delivery address you provide. This is separate from the registrar’s protection of publicly displayed contact data.
Edition withholds only recognised registration-success and initial nameserver-success notices that describe setup already handled for you. Verification, security, ownership, transfer, renewal, expiry, suspension and other required actions must reach you. Known notices may be presented in Edition’s styling without changing their action or deadline; unfamiliar notices are forwarded without rewriting their instructions.
We do not automatically click verification links or approve ownership changes or transfers for you. A registrar verification page may show your dedicated forwarding address: your click confirms receipt of mail sent through that contact route. The address is not a claim that Edition owns your domain.
Mail handling is included in the displayed registration price for the purchased term. It is limited to registrar correspondence and is not an email inbox or a general forwarding service.
Verification and keeping details correct
Provide accurate details and tell us about changes within seven days. Supply an email address you can access. Follow verification and other required notices by their stated deadlines; missing a required response can cause suspension or cancellation by the registrar.
If an email is missing or deleted, use Edition’s domain recovery page to check status and request another. A resend does not restart the registrar’s original deadline. For managed forwarding you can correct the delivery address there; changing that destination is different from changing the registered contact.
If you cannot sign in, no longer have access to the address, or need a change to your registered identity, contact help@edition.pm with the domain name. We check the request against the retained registration and purchase records before changing access. Do not send passwords or transfer codes in an initial support email.
Payment, term and renewal
The purchase screen gives the price, currency and term. New purchases authorise a card payment first; Edition captures it only after the registrar confirms registration. If registration is rejected, the authorisation is released. An uncertain registrar response must be checked before the purchase is attempted again.
The domain is registered for the purchased term. Registration is not a promise of instant worldwide availability. Hosting and email verification have separate status checks.
Renewal is a separate purchase at the price shown at that time. We send renewal notices; keeping a website published is not itself a renewal. Expiry, restoration availability, transfer restrictions and registry charges depend on the registrar and extension. Contact Edition about an incorrect charge. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
Leaving Edition or ending forwarding
You can request a transfer code in Edition or contact help@edition.pm. Registrar locks, including applicable periods after registration or contact changes, can delay a transfer. We do not require you to purchase additional hosting to obtain a transfer code.
You may ask to replace the forwarding contact with an email you control. We authenticate the request and follow the registrar’s change and verification process; a contact change can create a transfer lock. We explain this before proceeding.
Deleting an Edition account ends access to its hosting and sign-in. It does not give Edition the domain or erase the domain’s registration record. If you have already deleted the account, contact help@edition.pm to recover domain assistance or arrange a transfer.
We continue handling necessary registrar correspondence while the domain remains managed through Edition. Before ending the forwarding service we must arrange a working replacement contact or a transfer, subject to registrar rules and legal requirements. We do not silently discard domain notices because an Edition account has closed.
Data, disputes and abuse
We retain the customer identity and contact details, forwarding destination, order and acceptance records needed to administer the domain, handle disputes and establish authority after account closure. We pass registration information to AWS, the sponsoring registrar, the registry and their required service providers. Their retention and disclosure rules also apply; Edition’s privacy policy explains our wider data handling.
Public contact protection is subject to the extension’s rules and the registrar’s service terms. It is not anonymity from the registrar, lawful requests or applicable domain dispute procedures. We do not publish the customer’s details merely because forwarding ends; any disclosure follows applicable rules and law.
For abuse, infringement, privacy or registration complaints, contact help@edition.pm with the domain, relevant URLs and the grounds for the report. We review and pass reports to the responsible customer or registrar as appropriate. A complaint alone is not authority to change a domain’s owner. Legal requirements or a competent dispute decision may require action or disclosure.
Keep a copy of the terms you accept. A new Edition agreement version is not recorded as accepted merely because you previously authorised forwarding. We identify material changes and obtain renewed acceptance where required.
